Chess Board (Design # 4)
Chess Board is 24" x 24" x 3/4" Thick and was constructed from Solid 1/4" Thick x 2-1/4" Sq Walnut and Maple that were glued to a 1/2" Thick piece of Baltic Birch Plywood.
Border is 3" wide and consists of alternating strips of Walnut and Maple.
Edges of the Squares have a slight Bevel as does the interior edge of the Border.
The Edge of the Border has a stepped Radius detail
The Back of the Board was covered in Black Felt and there are anti skid bumpers on each corner as well as one in the middle of the Board.
The Finish is Four coats of hand rubbed High Gloss Tung Oil, sanded between each coat.
