Chest Of Drawers-Plan D
Plan D was born out of a real need to come up with something I had never done or seen before.
The initial spark of inspiration came from another piece I made called "Floating Drawers". I took that idea and played with it some more. After many weeks of designing and then redesigning I came up with several ideas which I happened to name Plan A through Plan D. In this case it was the 4th time that was a charm.
The overall dimensions are: 24-3/4" Wide by 21-1/2" Deep by 57" High
The L-Shaped frame is made of solid Walnut and the drawers are made of Alder that I stained darker.
I've also designed this piece as a smaller version for somebody that wanted a night stand. I made that one much shorter and a little wider.
Please keep in mind that this piece is heavy, so I hope you live near California.
