These pottery coffee mug are part of a series featuring architectural details from from photographs I took on a visit last spring to Oak Park, Illinois.
The iron red images were created using decals that I printed and then fired onto the glazed mugs. Nearly any black and white image could be used to make a decal for customized pottery.
The glazes are soft matte colors with vertical stripes of glossy cream.
Food, dishwasher and microwave safe, the stoneware cups were thrown in my studio in Columbus, Ohio.
Dimensions: Mugs can be made in a variety of sizes and shapes, but are generally 4 inches in height and diameter.
