Contemporary Exotic Wood Desk
This desk measures 30 x 60 x 30 and is fabricated from exotic figured woods. The desktop is curley/ flame western maple just over an inch thick with a walnut perimeter edge inlay.
The drawer fronts and cubby boxes are highly figured Hawaiian koa. Drawer boxes (not visible) feature dovetail construction and top shelf soft close undermount drawer slides. Even the drawer pulls were custom as I could not find a source for this particular design. The rest of the desk is sapeli mahogany with quarter sawn sapeli accents. The desk is supported with custom 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" steel legs.
