Contrasting Woods Fireplace Bellows
Laughing Coyote makes a lot of fireplace bellows of many designs. These are the bellows that started it all. We make them from a variety of contrasting hardwoods (and sometimes not so contrasting), depending upon wood availability, but they are all quite similar. The darker wood is usually in the middle unless you would like to switch that up. Use the dropdown below to pick the woods you'd like your bellows to be made of.
We finish the wood with lacquer or tung oil, a natural vegetable oil that enhances the depth of the wood grain. The bag consists of 2-3 ounce leather, very supple and able to produce a strong draft. We build the bellows with a strong steel hinge (covered by the leather) for dependability and a long life. They come with a rawhide lace tied to the handle, making them easy to display. They measure 20-1/4" long, 7-3/8" wide, 5" deep when open, and 2" deep when closed.
