Ridiculously happy would be an understatement. I wanted to have a commemorative plaque made for my brother for a pretty big life event. Made of laser cut 11ga powder coated steel fins with cedar caps, these benches reside within a courtyard space of an academic building. The form was generated using parametric software and utilized digital fabrication process for production of the steel and wooden components. The designs allow for various sitting positions and arrangements from a single person enjoying lunch all the way to a small group using it as an outdoor classroom.
