Curve #319 Handcrafted Wooden Box

Wenge and yellowheart box

This is my interpretation of what would happen if you bend an imaginary rectangular piece of clay that has squares carved onto its surface. The resulting curved piece of clay would have elongated rectangles along the top and small compressed squares along the bottom. The spacing of the small rectangles would exhibit radial symmetry.

The natural yellow color of yellowheart and the wenge's black color results in a striking contrast. No paints or dyes are used in the construction of this piece. As an added detail, each rectangle has a dome shape to provided an extra texture detail. Both your visual and textural senses are excited by the look and feel of this box.

This box measures approximately 2 3/4" (front) x 4" (back) x 2 3/4" (width) x 2 1/4" (height)
