Cutting Board

These cutting boards are versatile and can stand up to repeated use. They can be made out of your choice of woods below. The order for wood on the cutting board goes as follows, first listed wood is on the outside, second wood is the darker accent wood, the third wood is the middle piece. So a Flame Birch, Purpleheart, Curly Maple board would be constructed with the Flame Birch on the outside with the Purpleheart next to it and the Curly Maple would be the middle piece.

A standard cutting board is 6.5" x 12" and finished with food safe Butcher Block Oil and Wax. This finish serves two purposes; first it protects the board better from moisture than standard food safe finishes and second when a knife is used the wax better seals the cut mark. These boards will get marked up by a knife when cutting, this is normal and is acceptable, but at any point in use the board can be re-sanded and a new coat of oil wax butcher block oil can be applied.

Care Instructions-
Please do not place raw meats, poultry, or fish on the cutting board. We can not guarantee that you will be able to properly sanitize the board after it comes in contact with these raw items.

Please do not use a dishwasher to clean the cutting board or submerge it in water.

All that is needed to clean the cutting board is a damp soapy wash cloth. Wipe dry immediately after washing to prevent any warping or cracking.

Cutting board can be re-sanded at any time and can be refinished with Butcher Block oil wax finish.

Cutting board can be refreshed with a quick wipe down of Butcher Block oil wax every 6 months. Please allow the board to fully dry after reapplying the wax.
