After acquiring the base I have made three different tops for it. None seemed to do it justice. I was finally happy after putting this maple top together. I rounded the edges and corners to play off the curves of the stove base. The top was held back so the base could peek out from underneath it. I didn't want to hide it under a big chunk of wood. This piece is more about the base. Looking for something similar? I can hunt down a unique base we can start with.
