"Double Dutch Chocolate" - Dutch, Baroque Period, Bombe Chest Of Drawers

We designed a built this somewhat diminutive gem to grace the entry hall of a well known local, classical musician. The drawer faces and cabinet sides are made of ribbon grain Honduras mahogany, while the rest of the structure is made of cabinet grade mahogany. Escargot feet with carved fillet shadow lines trace a rhythmic line along the French inspired, curved front and side skirts. Denver Marble provided the dark, marbled granite with masterful crenellated molding cut into the design.

The piece is only 42" wide X 20" deep X 30" tall and made using a blend of traditional and modern joinery techniques to make this a very unique and functional piece. We treated this piece with a lye solution to bring out the subtle grain, stained it lightly and finished it with low VOC acrylic lacquer and carnauba wax.

Dimensions: 42" wide, 20" deep, 30" tall
