Double Lined Bowl

This is a bowl I made to experiment with laminating a thin piece of wood (a veneer in this case) in an arc, rather than flat in a blank. It presents the unique challenge to the woodworker to make the arc as smooth as possible in the cut, as they only have one pass to get it right.

The bowl is genuine African Mahogany, with two arcs of White Oak veneer laminated through. The top layer is Cherry, which does not have the lamination within. The bowl is finished with polyurethane and CA finish.
