Mantel
To update their stylish living room, my clients wanted a simple yet eye-catching mantel. I designed this piece to complement the geometry of the limestone wall behind it, but it would work well with nearly any background. The contrast between the cherry and wenge creates a balance without being overstated; the gentle curve softens the structure; the birdseye maple blocks dividing top from bottom open a pleasing negative space, keeping the piece from seeming too heavy or imposing.
