This amazing piece would grace any mantel or entry hall table, or be a wonderful feature to a sideboard or living room collection of art..
I roll out slabs and then, using a series of templates I have designed, layout the components of the jar: Sides, Bottom, Lid/Top/ and Gallery Ledge.
I textured these slabs with a bisques stamp that I made from a found texture on a tool box lid.
The entire piece was treated with Black engobes which traps in the deep texture and highlights it.
Made to contain memories, hopes, dreams, secrets, precious jewelry, trinkets, other treasures,
or the most amazing cookie jar ever!
can also be used for cremains if you want.
