I am very pleased with the timeliness, professionalism and quality of product in regard to my customized walnut vertical knife block. I very rarely provide product reviews, however Denny and his product impressed me so much I felt compelled to offer this review. I would not hesitate in contacting the Debner's for these custom products.
This chessboard was designed by my grandson. The squares measure 2.25 inches. He requested the top to be hinged so that there is a storage area inside to place both the light and dark colored chess pieces.
I finished the chessboard with several coats of a very durable varnish, sealing the natural coloration of the mahogany and sycamore wood.
Drawers can also be an option for storage, eliminating the need to hinge the top and bottom of the chessboard. I am open to your suggestions of design and wood type. Please allow a minimum of eight weeks for me to custom build it for you. Thank you.
