This portrait was drawn from a photograph a few years ago using charcoal pencils. I love the contemporary, yet classical feel this piece invokes. Because of this, if could work in many different rooms in your home, or even your office. One of my clients, has this piece and another black and white drawing of mine in her office. Provide a photograph of your loved one in a scene that is beautiful or a special friend or family member and have them preserved in a piece of fine art!

The size of this drawing is 18x24 inches. It is drawn on archival fine art paper and sprayed with a varnish to preserve the piece from UV rays and dust. It should be framed and probably matted. One nice way to add color is to choose a matte, say maybe red, providing a nice contrast to the black and white of the drawing itself. I have a piece at my studio where I did exactly this. I love it with red, but it is one of my favorite colors!
