Each one is distressed and glazed by hand giving it that "shabby-chic" effect and makes every Mantel different and unique. It was designed as a fireplace mantel but they have also been used as a bedroom headboard or as an accent shelf anywhere a rustic touch is needed, and with our catalyzed top coat it is extremely durable and will last indefinitely.
