A very pretty hat in cool pastel shades for summer in this stunning OOAK cloche hat. A classic vintage 1920's style cloche hat in a shabby chic style. The base of the hat is made in a pale taupe. A textured pleated band made from a pale plum dupioni silk woven with contrasting blue threads offers a shimmering effect. This same fabric is made for the hand stitched banding surrounding the brim. The hat is detailed using floral motif appliques in shades of pale gold, rose, pink and plum accented with a sprinkling of sequins. A delightful color combination makes this a great hat for a garden wedding, tea party or afternoon brunch.

I made this hat using traditional millinery techniques. Buckram fabric is dampened down and then stretched over a vintage wooden hat block. The brim is hand formed and the details are hand sewn from the highest quality fabrics.
