Guest House Kitchen
This kitchen, in Panton, Vermont, was built in an above-garage guest apartment. The inset doors are made in a country-style, from tongue and groove stock, with concealed euro-hinges. The maple countertop was first made in several pieces and then glued up on-site, so there are no seams where it wraps around the post coming through counter. There is storage on both sides of the peninsula and a shallow counter was built against one wall to maximize walking space. A compact refrigerator is included under the counter next to the sink.
