This abstract sculpture represents a male and female figure. It was carved out of a solid piece of alabaster and polished to a high finish. There is one side that has a rough finish which is a nice contrast to the smoother sides.
The difference in texture in this modern sculpture shows that people have multiple dimensions that make them up. People, like this stone sculpture, are more complex and require some investigating to figure out completely. Some things are revealed on the surface, while the rest is concealed by an outside shell that appears smooth on the outside, but is definitely more complicated on the inside.
