Stained glass photo frame made to order with customer's design ideas using a Celtic knot and Claddagh. After a pattern was drawn a cardboard template was made and cut out. These pieces were then traced onto the glass and cut out. The edges of each piece were ground smooth so a copper foil can be applied. The foil will create a channel for the melted solder to adhere to. After the front and back seams are soldered together pieces of metal channel are soldered to the back to hold the photo frame. The lettering was done with a heat-set paint. The heart scrolls at the corners were created with a heavy copper wire and soldered onto the frame. After cleaning a copper patina was added to the solder seams then cleaned again and polished.
