We found this old Metal Piping behind a barn in Cumberland, Rhode Island. It obviously was used in a factory at one time but it no longer had a top so it was discarded. We acquired it from the owner and added a top that was originally in the Middleboro, Massachusetts High School science lab. It is well worn and compliments the metal piping nicely. Once it was all put together, we decided it needed a bottom shelf made from reclaimed antique flooring from an early home in Wareham, Massachusetts. After restoring, repurposing and refinishing, this marriage of parts turned into a very serviceable, rugged and beautiful kitchen island!
