This drawing is one of four in a series I did of the Danish model Freja Beha Erichsen. There is something about those photos that I found intriguing and wanted to recreate them on a large scale with charcoal.
This is the second drawing in the series. I was drawn to this image because I like the contrast between her casual stance and the long gown. I also liked that she has almost an African-American appearance, and seemingly softer facial features form the exposure of the camera.
