Live Edge Cherry Slab Dining / Conference Table With Reclaimed Beam Base

I made this sleek hourglass shaped top from two bookmatched American Cherry slabs that had spectacular figuring. The slabs also had some large splits on both ends which were dealt with by filling with fiberglass resin and inlay dovetail keys for support. These "defects" then became points of visual interest and part of the appeal of this top.

The Top pictured is 11 ft. long. I have many slabs this size and longer in various species.

The base was made from reclaimed hand-hewn 12 x 12 barn beams from a local over 100 year old dairy barn.

This table is going in the home of a world renown chef. This style of table makes a great setting for those who like to entertain large crowds or for a truly unique conference table.
