One of a kind live edge table of ambrosia maple. Ambrosia is term used when wood starts to decay-the ambrosia beetle activity leaves colored streaks that enhance the grain. A large knot adds additional character. The curves of the top are echoed in the bottom spreader. This hand crafted item has a floating top that uses a center spreader and black walnut dowels to lift the top off the legs giving it a lighter look. The base and legs are soft maple. The top is finished with Danish Oil and several coats of wipe on polyurethane. No finish has been applied to the base/legs giving one the option of finishing them differently, if so desired.
