Live Edge Coffee Table- Maple Burl- Dual Slab Table- Modern- Rustic- Organic- Contemporary

This interesting live edge coffee table was made by jointing two book-matched slabs of Maple Burl. Burls usually offer more unusual shapes and grain patterns and this piece shows that well. Both pieces are packed with figuring. The two matching slabs were jointed to each other in a fashion that glorifies their organic shapes and leaves a mirroring void throughout the middle of the coffee table. The wood has been planed flat (although one side cups/tapers a tad towards the edge), sanded smooth and finished in an oil and satin poly combo. The legs selected for this piece were upcycled off of a dated piece of mid century/ industrial furniture and are too cool! They appear to be extremely dense hand-casted aluminum with a nice taper and rounded ball feet. The legs have been cleaned up and clear coated for protection. If looking for a unique coffee table that gives a nod to nature, mid century design, industrial flair and craftsmanship...this may be a winner! Would work well in a traditional, rustic, contemporary, modern, industrial or any other setting. Very versatile piece!

Measures: 35.5" L x 23" W avg x 16.75"H and is 1.25" thick.
