This coffee table was custom designed for a client with a variety of Asian-inspired furnishings. They wanted a piece that would blend in well with their existing pieces, but with some modern details. We hand-picked the gorgeous burled sapele for the top, edging it with beech, and then settled on a traditional design for the base.
Mortise and tenon joinery is used throughout for a rock solid construction.
The top has a Danish oil base finish with satin poly on top for water resistance and extra durability. The base is black lacquer paint.
