Mahogany And Spalted Maple Chess Board.
I love this tiered effect on a chess board! Felt pads are added to the bottom and an aluminum cleat so it can double as a wall hanging for storage. Squares on this one are an inch and a half.
The mahogany for this board was reclaimed from an old ships toolbox that was dilapidated. The maple came from an urban forestry supplier, and was from a tree in someone's yard within Portland's city limits.
Chess and checker boards can be completely customized to any color and size. Just let me know.
