This customer wanted her wobbly table repair and only the table top refinished. I carefully dismantled the existing glue joint (a lathe turned mortise & tenon). I glued and screwed it back into place. VERY stable now. I then sanded the old finish off and then sanded up to 220 grit. Then applied several coats of Gel Stain and Semi-Gloss poly-urethane.
