Clock With Horse Marquetry Inlay
A client contacted me about making something for his wife for her birthday. He said that she was drawn to the clock that I had made previously that has the chickadee on the branch, but he would like a picture of her horse on it. I simplified my other design a bit and worked the horse in as you see from the pictures below. The background is Figured Maple and the horse marquetry features Mahogany, Coffee Bean Koa, Pear, Dyed White Maple, and Dyed Black Maple veneers. This piece has been finished with Conversion Varnish to add years of protection and beauty.
