Spectacular craftsmanship. Austin created a beautiful high end stacked walnut king bed. We were looking for a statement piece for the master that was unique using high quality wood for a mountain home, yet refined to work with the "mountain modern" design concept. It's absolutely beautiful and Austin was a pleasure to work with. I was so pleased he is working on other projects. Photos will come later once everything is completed.
These boxes were made as gifts for the women in my family for christmas. They are made of many different types of wood, bandsawn together to create a landscape scene, wild sky, and a butterfly. They were made by creating one big scene "sheet" of wood and cutting each side out. Each side was cut from its respective direction to the top rectangle. Hinges are mortised in, there is a clasp in front and the bottoms are solid walnut. Some of the woods include walnut, maple, leopardwood, coyote, lyptus, mahogany, green poplar, and purple heart. Clamping was quite the event! I had blocks and stops screwed down to the bench with clamps in all directions!
