Mid Century Bookcase By Mr2 Woodworking
mr2 Woodworking Custom Mid Century Bookcase which is 60" High x 10" Deep x 32" Wide which can be stained and finished to your choices. This bookcase stained Mahogany and with a satin finish is made from FSC certified Monterey (Radiata) Pine. The shelves and vertical pieces are made of boards which utilize biscuits and compression gluing for maximum strength, stability and a finished look. Each joint is screwed and covered with dowels to insure maximum strength and integrity. After compression gluing the boards, each piece is planed and sanded for thickness uniformity, smoothness and appearance. The shelf height is 10.5 inches. The height and width dimensions can be changed by several inches without changes to the price. Other sizes, shapes and wood material can also be quoted.
There are four tapered Mid Century legs with brackets under the bottom shelf to support the bookcase.
Each piece is custom made and takes 6-7weeks depending upon the backlog.
All of the surfaces will be stained and finished to the customers specific requirements. There are 4-5 coats of polyurethane applied. Each coat is allowed to cure and then sanded before the next coat is applied. The bookcase can be stained in Pumpkin Pine, Black, Olympic Green, Dark Walnut, Mahogany, Maple, Pine, Russet Oak, Natural, Cherry or a stain of your choice. The finish can be natural, satin, semi-gloss or gloss. Please specify when ordering.
The piece is shipped completely assembled and shipped in multiple layers of bubble wrap and multiple layers of cardboard in a single carton.
A sample of the finished stain and finish will be sent to the customer for review and approval. All shipping costs are covered.
Shipping costs are estimated for the West Coast If total shipping costs are lower, a refund would be applied when shipped. This design and/or custom designed Mid Century pieces can also be requested in in both stained and solid color versions.
