My client was an interior designer building her dream home on a beachfront property she and her husband found in Kailua, HI. The marvelous Mokuluas Islands are a landmark feature of the coastline, but her property didn't have a view of them, so she wanted to find a way to bring their stunning beauty into her home.
She sent me pictures of the islands and we worked back and forth in emails, phone calls and sending samples by mail until we came up with the best way to do these magnificent islands justice. The final results are hard to capture in photographs. As you move around the kitchen and the sun changes, the iridescence of the waves captures the light and they appear to move.
