Oak Bench
A friend of mine had one of those high top dining tables. Later in life she found herself with three little kids that she had to wrangle around it. She approached me about cutting the legs off so she didn't have to worry quite so much about falls from such great heights. I suggested she add a bench to the dining set, so It could be pushed in under the table out of the way in their small-ish dining room.
This is what we ended up with.
100% solid red oak.
Mortise and tenon joinery to stand the test of time... and kids.
