Oak Feather Figure Coffee Table
Remarkable wood! This is the first project completed from the lumber I slabbed from a 300 yr old white oak windrall about 5 years ago. The Top is from a sequence of 5 slabs cut from the large crotch pf this 4 ft Diameter oak. The beautiful oak feather figure was enhanced by oxidizing to the traditional "brown oak" which also brings out the depth of the feather. The base is from slabs cut free form to follow the natural grain patterns. Double trestle with an american lacewood shelf.
