Working with John was a very positive experience. He quickly replied to any question I asked. I asked him if it would be possible to expedite the shipping date, he quickly agreed.
His "artwork" has a mesmerizing quality to it, when I look at it, it draws me towards the various components within the piece.
Even though it is an "abstract" piece of work, all the different shapes and colors blend into one in a beautiful manner.
I was commissioned by a client to create a painting for the wedding of his daughter. It was to be the view from a lodge in Aspen's Castle Valley near the old gold town of Ashcroft, looking into the Elk Range. I hiked the area in late fall and made sketches and photos. The painting was ready for the mid-winter wedding. It was fortunate that we had the image hanging in the lodge, because the weather brought us clouds and this was the only view of the Castle Valley on that cold crisp day. The painting is in oil on stretched linen.
