Spectacular craftsmanship. Austin created a beautiful high end stacked walnut king bed. We were looking for a statement piece for the master that was unique using high quality wood for a mountain home, yet refined to work with the "mountain modern" design concept. It's absolutely beautiful and Austin was a pleasure to work with. I was so pleased he is working on other projects. Photos will come later once everything is completed.
This is an open staircase, built to allow light to all areas of the stairwell and basement and to open up the floor plan. Because there are no risers on these stairs, light is visible while standing anywhere on them.
All parts were custom-made out of cherry, maple, and steel to create a clean and simple, modern look. The treads and handrails are cherry, the newells and stringers are maple, and the balusters and kick obstructors are 1/2" round steel tubing.
