Ossabaw Oyster Knife
Gonzalez Knife Co. presents the Ossabaw Oyster Knife. Made from 440C stainless steel . Stock thickness .156" ,length 6.5" Blade comes with many options grain finish,polished finish and many material for liners pins, bolsters and handles to choose from. If you notice it unusual shape it lends itself to a very unique design! Very ergo friendly Safety played a major role in the design concept just over 1 " of radius material forward of handle to prevent your hand from getting cut. Upper left side of blade is a single bevel edge designed for scraping and removing debris from the oyster shell. Bottom being the cutting edge is a double bevel with a slight { V } notch to be used as a prying / cracking the shell open without damaging the mussel. The Ossabaw is made to order we try to have a few on hand at all times. Knife is made for either the Left handed person or the Right handed person that's where the ergonomic feature comes in. The knife is literally designed to keep your knife holding hand from sliding forward and being cut on the oyster shell. We Also provided handmade leather sheaths as well as kydex sheaths.
