Working with John was a very positive experience. He quickly replied to any question I asked. I asked him if it would be possible to expedite the shipping date, he quickly agreed.
His "artwork" has a mesmerizing quality to it, when I look at it, it draws me towards the various components within the piece.
Even though it is an "abstract" piece of work, all the different shapes and colors blend into one in a beautiful manner.
I have made a number of paintings from colored-pencil drawings executed while hiking in the mountains or the desert. These paintings are created in oil paint on stretched linen. This painting, oil on linen, depicts a small stream that crosses the Fourth of July trail on the way to Arapaho Pass in the Front Range of Colorado. It was commissioned by the University of Colorado Athletic Department and hangs in the Folsom Field Addition. It measures 40" x 24".
