Working with John was a very positive experience. He quickly replied to any question I asked. I asked him if it would be possible to expedite the shipping date, he quickly agreed.
His "artwork" has a mesmerizing quality to it, when I look at it, it draws me towards the various components within the piece.
Even though it is an "abstract" piece of work, all the different shapes and colors blend into one in a beautiful manner.
I Musici is painted in acrylic on linen. My technique uses freehand airbrush and semi-rigid hand-held stencils, allowing an immediate and brush-like work process. Many of the pigments are transparent, allowing the light to penetrate the paint film and bounce off the white gesso and back through the paint, producing the luminous quality of emanating light. I want to create a visual analog to the aural experience of music. The piece is 48"x 60".
