Pair Of Cherry Dressers

Cherry was the wood of choice for this handsome set of cherry dressers for the customer who needed more storage space in the bedroom. One of the stipulations from the customer was that both the heartwood and sapwood from the cherry selected would be used to make the dressers, resulting in a very striking color and grain pattern.

Designed to match other pieces that The Plane Edge, LLC had made for the customer, both frame and panel construction and mortise and tenon joinery were a must. Additionally, the customer specified dovetail joinery so that the drawers would hold up after years of wear and tear.

To add a touch of uniqueness to the cherry dressers, the drawer fronts were cut sequentially from two (2) beautifully matched boards; this allowed the grain of the wood to flow from one drawer front to the next drawer front. All drawers operate on full extension, ball bearing drawer slides. Turned cherry drawer knobs top off the construction of the cherry dressers.

Both dressers were given two (2) hand rubbed coats of a 50/50 mix of Danish wood oil and a satin finish polyurethane. Finally, the dressers were hand rubbed with liquid wax.

Pricing is for each dresser, not the pair.

Dimensions: Approximately 20" deep x 30" tall x 42" long.
