Wheel thrown white stoneware close to porcelain; the clay comes from North Carolina. Lead-free glazes mixed at my school, fired to around 2200° Fahrenheit for a vitreous watertight finish. Dishwasher, microwave, consumption safe. Please treat it carefully as you would other china.
