The Prototype Box was constructed from 1/2" thick Pine and was designed to hold Tobacco products. Corners were mitered and then had cross Splines installed to help secure the corners. All edges have a 3/16" Radius. Box is 16" Long x 10" Wide x 4" High. Lid is hinged with 90 degree stop, surface mount, hinges and has a Mortised Key Lock. The Lid fits over the bottom section with a half lap joint. Interior is set up to hold four (4) angled jars for tobacco products, a tobacco grinder, spoon (mounted on Lid w a Rare Earth Magnet) and divided spaces for papers and other related products. The exterior of the box was stained with Minwax Dark Walnut.
