Reclaimed Douglas Fir And Steel Table

This table is made from reclaimed old growth Douglas Fir that was salvaged from a warehouse in downtown Denver. The wood has a lot of character from nails holes and other features it picked up over the years. The nail holes and other imperfections have been filled with epoxy to stabilize the wood and make the table easier to use and clean.

The top is over 1.75" thick and finished with several coats of Danish oil and a finishing wax. The base is made from steel channels with a ¼" seam between the metal and the wood. Some of the welds have been ground smooth and others left to add the industrial feel of the table. The base is sealed with a satin lacquer.

Dimensions: The table is 64 1/2" long, 36 1/2" wide, and 30" tall. The table comfortably seats 4, or 6 with chairs on the ends.
