Reclaimed Oak Barnwood Console Table

I made This sofa table for a customer as part of a set including two matching end tables.

Sofa table
100% solid Reclaimed slow-growth white oak around one-hundred-years-old from a mule barn in Central KY that was constructed in the 1800's.

I used cherry (also reclaimed from the same barn) as the risers for these
tables as it is an extremely stable wood, in other words it will not change dimensions very much seasonally.
The dimensions are 36" High (counter Height) 19" deep and 60" in length

The wood is scattered with nail holes which are black around their perimeter as the nails were individually handmade out of Iron.

I purposefully left a few places of the wood showing the large circular cuts which show that this wood was milled using a water-powered circular saw.

The style of the table is a mix of mid century and modern

The construction of the table is craftsmen style using all wood joinery and breadboard ends.

This table is 100 % wood their is no hardware (bolts, nails, screws etc...)

This sofa table is understated with clean lines built to last not one, but many lifetimes.

The individual who wanted me to build this table asked for the nails from the wood, he then displayed them in a shadow box, I gotta say it looked pretty cool.
