A 60 inch round of reclaimed White Oak sits on a pedestal fabricated from structural steel in a sculptural Starbust design. The table shows as functional art.

The wood for the top has been reclaimed from a pre-war building in Manhattan, is 3" thick and presents all the natural imperfections and honest-use markings characteristic of beautiful vintage wood. Its top has been seamlessly smoothed to provide a functional surface while carefully respecting and retaining its salvaged personality. Its deeper valleys are filled in with rust-tinted epoxy resin.

The pedestal base is built from industrial steel welded into a spectacular starburst. The base is sized to allow generous under-table space

The Table makes a striking presence - solid but airy

The wood gets triple-sanded/triple-finished to an organic smoothness, pleasing to look at and to touch, in either semi-gloss polyurethane or a natural wood oil which deepens its color tone. I can normally offer a choice of White Oak, Hemlock or Eastern Pine and will show you boards for your selection

The steel can be finished in a range of metallic colors, or for a more industrial look, left raw and clear-coated

The price of the table will be a function of both its size and, more importantly, the wood used for its top
