River Rock Birdbath
This unusual birdbath is truly what one would call a "Rock" Birdbath for sure! Thousands of river rock pebbles cover the entire surface while accented with what we like to call Mud Rock, which is rock that has laid in the mud and turned a beautiful natural color of autumn's rusty, reddish orange. We used these orange rock to our advantage to accent this handsome birdbath and once again, lined the bowl with larger boulders of various earth tone rocks to create the still effect of a creek bed.
The rustic birdbath stands 25" tall and the bowl is 18" wide. Due to the fact that we use a durable weatherproof adhesive instead of concrete or grout, this mosaic design, if you will, weighs approximately 38- 42 lbs and is easily moved around your garden or patio where needed.
Its striking natural appearance overall will enhance any garden resting among a beautiful flower bed or standing alone out in your yard. The birds seem to enjoy having the larger stones as a welcomed perch to rest upon while taking turns bathing or sipping a cool drink of water during the hot summer months.
It's easily cleaned with a little soap, water, a tad of bleach and a soft bristle brush. The Marine Urethane we used to seal several weeks of tedious work, adds a natural deep rich tone that creates a "wet" appearance throughout the year. It is a most charming country classy birdbath, one you will be proud to have in your yard for years. Yes, finally, a real Rock Birdbath! One that seems to have been created by Mother Nature herself.
