This daybed was built for a client in Mass that needed it for a few weeks for medical reasons. Then it was to become a regular daybed/sofa for use in the family room.
The wood is KD beach and the side rails are steam bent beach and then dried of a few weeks in a mold. A good wood worker friend of mine helped us make a special gig for our router to make the front are profiles, which really give special character to the overall look of the daybed.
The base under the mattress is 3/4 hardwood plywood.
