Rustic Floating Shelves
Floating shelves are a simple elegant design choice for a clean modern look. A reclaimed rustic pine shell hides the internal supports, creating the illusion of a solid piece of wood without the traditional support brackets.
They are available in custom sizes for flexible use in any part of the house from a living room mantle to a wine glass holder in the kitchen. The size shown here is 72"L x 12"W x 3.0"H
The installation of these shelves is fairly simple. (see attached for details) The hidden support pieces are attached to the wall studs and an outer sleeve is then placed over them. Some basic carpentry skills and a few simple tools are needed for self-installation.
All shelves are individually made to your exact specifications. They are priced by size length, width and depth. Maximum width is 12" unless supported on one or both sides. 104" length is the maximum shipping length. For extended lengths 2 can be pieced together. Minimum thickness for each shelf is 3". All hardware and installation instructions are included.
Stock size of 72"L x 8"W x 3.0"T is $300. Same size with wine glass holder is $350. Mantle size of 72"L x 4"W x 4"H is $350. Contact me for specific sizes and pricing. Longer one-piece sizes and installation is available in the Chicago area.

I’ve done a few different floating shelves with Ron and they come out great everytime!

Abodeacious did a GREAT job with my desk. It was a custom build. He finished a week or two ahead of schedule. Communicated status along the way and turned out great. Would recommend.

Ron was wonderful to work with. He was engaged and communicative every step of the way. There were a couple of things that caused the work to take a bit longer, but he was on top of checking in with me and it was absolutely worth the wait. I am so happy with how the shelves turned out and it really brought my vision for the space to life. He took a lot of time packing up the shelves so that they would be safe during shipping and even sent the instructions along with the mounts, screws and drill bits needed for installation. Ron's care and expertise is clearly visible in the quality of his craftsmanship.
