I used industrial bolts that measure 1-1/8" round for the assembly. This is a two tone headboard. I used rough cedar due ton the really cool & deep grain exposure. This not only looks sturdy but is solid structurally. I roughed it up to get that used look. My client fell in love w/ it and so did I. Its a really cool timeless design.
