Sencha Iron Shot Glasses Chalice Goblet Wine Tasting Glass Wheel Thrown Stoneware Ceramic Pottery

2 Small Chalice·Goblet·Mini Wineglass·Wine Taster·Shot Glass·Egg Cup·Candle Holder

Great for doing shots, sampling wines, sipping sake, enjoy breakfast of soft boiled egg in the shell with it. Or display some floral buds or cuttings, or burn a votive candle in it. Great in the kitchen, dining, or home decor.

Approx. 2-5/8" and 2-3/4" tall.

Food safe, dishwasher and microwave safe.

The inside has a matte slate-like charcoal black finish. The outside has a variegated light-olive yellow/green tea glossy finish, with graceful glaze drip detail on one side and faint speckles of rust-orange where the clay-body peeks through, especially around the rim. The foot or base on one is stamped GEM. The foot on the other is glazed and has a lightly carved knotwork pattern. Please view all my photos and convo me if you have any questions or requests.

This North Carolina clay I use is between stoneware and porcelain - substantial and hard wearing yet smooth and fine. I wheel-throw my small goblets in one piece (versus throwing the stem separately and attaching it, or throwing the stem off the inverted cup). It is bisque fired, painted with lead free food-safe glazes, then fired again to around 2200°F, resulting in a strong vitrified water-tight finish.

Since I do not use molds or measuring, my goblets vary in size, style, decoration, and proportion. No two are alike, but do look great together in a collection
